Laptop and desktop are computers and also electronics device. Laptop is also known as notebook computer or simply just notebook. While a desktop computer is a personal computer that is designed for regular use at a single location. Usually desktop can be seen at PC room or Cyber Cafe. So what are the similarities and differences between a laptop and a desktop?

These are the similarities of laptop and desktop. Basically, laptop and desktop are use for the same purpose such as playing online games, surfing the internet, for office works and others. Both also can use to do multi-tasking tasks. Other than that, both are able to perform the same operations.

The differences between laptop and desktop is laptop is much easier to use and handle than desktop. You do not have to switch on the plug everytime you want to use a laptop, you just need to press the power button and everything is done. But, if you are using a desktop, it takes a longer time just to power on the desktop because you need to connect it to the power supply and switch on the PC , the monitor and others. Next, laptop is portable compare to desktop. You can bring your laptop anywhere and everywhere you want. The small size of the laptop makes it even easier to carry compare to desktop which is usually place at a single location, so it is quite complicated for you to bring along. Plus, no one ever carry their desktop to cafe or library.

Besides, laptop comes in one piece. You do not need to buy other components separately because all of the bluetooth connectors, wifi adaptor and others are already included in the laptop. But for desktop, you need to buy each of the components separately and connect it by yourself at home or office. Other than that, laptop is more affordable than desktop. You can get or buy laptop in affordable price. It may cost you more if you want to buy a desktop rather than laptop. Besides, students usually prefer to use a laptop rather than a desktop. It is easier for them to bring it anywhere.

In conclusion, laptop and desktop are two computer devices which have a lot of differences and some similarities. Both computer devices has their own regular user and both also has their own pros and cons. Anyway, you just have to use the computer devices properly.
